With 78 members (77 states and the European Union) representing all continents, the Hague Conference on Private International Law is a global intergovernmental organization. As a melting pot of different legal traditions, it develops and supervises multilateral legal instruments which respond to global needs.

  • Activities in respect of Child Support

HCCH serves as a forum of the Member States for developing and implementing common rules of private international law in order to promote international judicial and administrative co-operation in the fields of family and child protection, civil procedure and commercial law.

HCCH provides legal services, technical assistance, readily accessible information for the benefit of Member States and States which are Parties to Hague Conventions, their government officials, their government officials, judiciary, practitioners and the public in general.
